Frankie Crocker's dream was to be a Program Director in a successful New York City Radio Station. That dream came true in 1970 when WLIB-FM changed its call sign to the popular WBLS-FM. In 1971 he called on Ken Spider Webb to be his very first 'morning radio personality'.
